Josué Enríquez (born 9 November 1994 in Guatemala City) is a Guatemalan professional squash player. He has represented Guatemala internationally. As of February 2018, he was ranked number 185 in the world, and number 1 in Guatemala. He won the 2018 Guatemala Open The Guatemala Open or Abierto de Guatemala is a golf tournament that was on the schedules of the Tour de las Américas and Challenge Tour between 2003 and 2007. Squash, sometimes called squash rackets, is a List of racket sports, racket ball game, sport played by two (singles) or four players (doubles) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow, rubber ball. The players alternate striking the ball with their rackets, directing it onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court. Squash At The 2023 Pan American Games
Squash competitions at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile were held at the Centro de Entrenamiento del Tenis y Deportes de Raqueta from October 31 to November 5. Seven medal events were contested, a singles, doubles and team event for each gender along with a mixed doubles event. Qualification A total of 50 squash athletes (25 men and 25 women) will qualify to compete. Each nation may enter a maximum of 6 athletes (three per gender), except for the NOCs that have qualified in Cali 2021. The host nation, Chile automatically qualified the maximum team size. Format Each National Olympic Committee could enter a maximum of one pair athletes into the competition. The athletes were drawn into an elimination stage draw. Unlike other events, there is not bronze medal match, so the two pairs that do not win during the semifinals receive a bronze medal.
