Josh Nurse (born July 17, 1996) is an American professional football cornerback who is a free agent. He was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2020 following his college football career with the Utah Utes. He has also been a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Calgary Stampeders, Birmingham Stallions, Memphis Showboats, and Edmonton Elks. Professional career Baltimore Ravens Nurse signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL draft on May 5, 2020. He was waived during final roster cuts on September 5, 2020. Jacksonville Jaguars Nurse signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad on September 14, 2020, and was released five days later. The Utah Utes football program is a college football team that competes in the Big 12 Conference of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of NCAA Division I and represents the University of Utah. The Utah college football program began in 1892 and has played home games at the current site of Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City since 1927. The 2020 NFL draft was the 85th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible players for the 2020 NFL season. The Birmingham Stallions were a franchise in the United States Football League, an attempt to establish a second professional league of American football in the United States in competition with the National Football League. They played their home games at Birmingham, Alabama's Legion Field. They competed in all three USFL seasons, 1983–1985. The United States Football League (USFL) was a professional American football league that played for three seasons, 1983 through 1985. The league played a spring/summer schedule in each of its active seasons. The 1986 season was scheduled to be played in the autumn/winter, directly competing against the long-established National Football League (NFL). However, the USFL ceased operations before that season was scheduled to begin. The ideas behind the USFL were conceived in 1965 by New Orleans businessman David Dixon, who saw a market for a professional football league that would play in the summer, when the National Football League and college football were in their off-season.
