Josh Mahoney
Joshua William Paul "Josh" Mahoney (born 31 October 1977) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood, the Western Bulldogs, and Port Adelaide in the Australian Football League (AFL). VFL career Mahoney played under-18s for the Western Jets in the TAC Cup. He was undrafted in the 1995 AFL Draft, so he signed with the Williamstown Seagulls in the Victorian Football League (VFL), playing 19 games with them in 1996. After that season, Mahoney was selected by the Collingwood Football Club with one of the last picks in the 1996 AFL draft, pick 84. Western Jets
The Western Jets is an Australian rules football club which plays in the Victorian premier U19 competition, the Talent League, since its inception in 1992. The club have developmental squads in the U16, however much of the attention is towards its U18 team. The club is geographically set in Melbourne's West as part of a decision by AFL Victoria (formerly Football Victoria) to have clubs in all regions of the state. The club trains in Melbourne's inner west at Crofts Reserve in Altona North and plays NAB League matches at Burbank Oval in Williamstown. Their current coach is Robbie Chancellor, who replaced Ryan O’Keefe at the end of the 2020 season. Glenelg Football Club
The Glenelg Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers or the Bays, is an Australian rules football team which plays in the South Australian National Football League. Their home ground is Stratarama Stadium (formerly Glenelg Oval), located in the southern coastal suburb of Glenelg East, South Australia. Club history The inaugural meeting of the Glenelg Football Club was held at the Glenelg Town Hall on Wednesday 10 March 1920, to form a club for players west of South Road to play in the B Grade. It was decided that the club colors would be red, yellow and black with white knickers. The Club participated in the B Grade (Reserves) Competition in 1920 and entered the South Australian League in 1921. The 1997 AFL season was the 101st season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. Before the season, the Port Adelaide Football Club (SANFL) was admitted to the league, increasing the South Australian membership to two clubs. Foundation club Fitzroy, which had gone into administration in 1996, merged with the Brisbane Bears to form a new Queensland-based team known as the Brisbane Lions.
