Joseph Petrič
Joseph Francis Petric (born October 8, 1952) is a Canadian concert accordionist, musicologist, composer, author, and pedagogue. Formation After beginning accordion lessons at the age of five, Petric began private studies at Toronto's Royal Conservatory when he was 17. He was then accepted to Queen's University where he studied accordion with Joseph Macerollo; this was followed by studies in musicology with Rika Maniates at the University of Toronto. Petric continued performance studies with various instructors including Hugo Noth at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen, Renaissance specialist Leslie Huggett (1992–8), harpsichordist Colin Tilney (1997–2010), and forte-pianist Boyd McDonald (2009–15).Verdejo, Adrian. James Rolfe (composer)
James Simon Rolfe (born 1961) is a Canadian composer of contemporary music. Early life and education Rolfe was born in Ottawa, Ontario. He studied composition with John Beckwith (composer), John Beckwith at the University of Toronto and Jo Kondo in Japan. Career Rolfe was the President of the Canadian League of Composers (2007–11) and has won awards for his music, most recently the 2006 Jules Léger Prize for New Chamber Music and the 2009 SOCAN Jan V. Wigmore Hall
The Wigmore Hall is a concert hall at 36 Wigmore Street, in west London. Christoph Prégardien
Christoph Prégardien (born 18 January 1956) is a German lyric tenor whose career is closely associated with the roles in Mozart operas, as well as performances of Lieder, oratorio roles, and Baroque music. He is well known for his performances and recordings of the Evangelist roles in Bach's ''St John Passion'' and ''St Matthew Passion''. Born in Limburg an der Lahn, he began his musical education as a choirboy at the cathedral's boys' choir, the Limburger Domsingknaben. Pauline Oliveros
Pauline Oliveros (May 30, 1932 – November 24, 2016) was an American composer, accordionist and a central figure in the development of post-war experimental and electronic music. She was a founding member of the San Francisco Tape Music Center in the 1960s, and served as its director. She taught music at Mills College, the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Oliveros authored books, formulated new music theories, and investigated new ways to focus attention on music including her concepts of "deep listening" and "sonic awareness", drawing on metaphors from cybernetics.
