Joseph Bùi Công Trác
Joseph Bùi Công Trác (Vietnamese: Giuse Bùi Công Trác) is a Vietnamese prelate. He was ordained a priest in 1999 and was appointed Rector of Saint Joseph Major Seminary of Sài Gòn by Archbishop Paul Bùi Văn Đọc in 2016 and remains so as of 2024. On 1 November 2022, Pope Francis appointed Trác as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Hồ Chí Minh City. Biography Bùi Công Tắc was born on 5 May 1965 in the city of Đà Lạt in South Việt Nam. He grew up near the Saint Nicholas Cathedral, but at the age of 10, his family moved to Sài Gòn, or what is now Hồ Chí Minh City. According to Trác, his father wanted to name his children after the children of the legendary family (Sơn-Hà-Xã-Tắc), but due to some unknown reason, his name was changed to Trác in the paperwork, along with his brother, who became Xá. Archbishop Paul Bùi Văn Đọc (11 November 1944 – 6 March 2018) was a Vietnamese prelate of the Catholic Church. He served as the Archbishop of Hồ Chí Minh City from 2014 to 2018 and the President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Vietnam from 2013 to 2016. Biography Paul Bùi was born on 11 November 1944 in Da Lat, Vietnam. In 1956, he started to study at a seminary in Sai Gon (now Hồ Chí Minh City). He then continued his studies in philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome, from 1964 to 1970. He was ordained a priest on 17 December 1970 in Da Lat and served as the Rector of Minh Hoa Major Seminary from 1975 until he became Vicar General of Da Lat diocese in 1995. Purgatory

The diocese of Thai Binh () is a Roman Catholic diocese in northern Vietnam. The bishop is Dominic Đặng Văn Cầu, since 2022, succeeding Bishop Pierre Nguyễn Văn Đệ.
