Josef Jelínek (basketball)
Josef Jelínek (9 January 1941 – 29 November 2024) was a Czech footballer who played as a forward (association football), forward. He made 10 appearances for the Czechoslovakia national football team, Czechoslovakia national team, scoring twice. Life and career Jelínek was a participant in the 1962 FIFA World Cup, where Czechoslovakia won the silver medal. He was the last surviving Czechoslovak player who participated in the 1962 FIFA World Cup final, 1962 World Cup final. In his country he spent his best years playing for Dukla Prague. He won the Czechoslovak First League five times with Dukla; and the Czechoslovak Cup three times. He had a spell with Go Ahead Eagles in the Dutch Eredivisie. Jelínek died on 29 November 2024, at the age of 83. Post Bellum
Post Bellum is a Czech educational nonprofit organization based in Prague. The organization was formed in 2001 by a group of historians and journalists with the aim of increasing public knowledge of the 20th century history of the Czech Republic and neighboring countries, especially among younger generations. Post Bellum has collected thousands of witness accounts by conducting interviews with people who lived through significant periods in history as part of their documentation project, ''Stories of the 20th Century'', and for their online archive, ''Memory of Nations''. Dukla Prague Footballers
Dukla is a town and an eponymous municipality in southeastern Poland, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. As of December 2021, the town has a population of 2,017. The total area of the commune is . Dukla belongs to Lesser Poland, and until the Partitions of Poland it was part of Biecz County, Kraków Voivodeship.
