Jonathan Brewster (colonist)
Jonathan Brewster (August 12, 1593 – August 7, 1659) was an early American settler, the son and eldest child of elder William Brewster (Pilgrim), William Brewster and his wife, Mary Brewster, Mary. Brewster had two younger sisters, Patience and Fear Brewster, Fear, and two younger brothers, Love/Truelove Brewster, Love and Wrestling along with an unnamed brother who died young. Life Brewster was born in Scrooby, Nottinghamshire, on August 12, 1593. In around 1610, he accompanied his family to Leiden in Holland, where he married his first wife. Brewster did not join his family on the ''Mayflower'' in 1620, however. He stayed behind in Leiden instead with his wife, who died soon after, and their infant son, who also died. Brewster would have been 27 at the time. Brewster came to America on the ship ''Fortune'' in 1621. Jonathan Brewster (priest)
Jonathan David Brewster (born 1967) is a British Anglican priest. Since September 2023, he has been Dean of Carlisle. From 2021 to 2023, Previously, he had been chaplain to the University of Westminster (1998–2003), vicar of Christ Church Highbury (2003–2017), and canon treasurer of St Paul's Cathedral in the Diocese of London (2017–2021). His final position before becoming dean was as team vicar of the Cartmel Peninsula Team Ministry in the Diocese of Carlisle. Early life and education Brewster was born in 1967. He studied business management at Buckinghamshire College of Education, graduating with a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in 1989. Arsenic And Old Lace (play)
''Arsenic and Old Lace'' is a play by American playwright Joseph Kesselring, written in 1939. It has become best known through the 1944 film adaptation starring Cary Grant and directed by Frank Capra. The play was produced by Lindsay and Crouse and directed by Bretaigne Windust, and opened on Broadway at the Fulton Theatre on January 10, 1941. On September 25, 1943, the play moved to the Hudson Theatre, closing there on June 17, 1944, having played 1,444 performances. The West End production – directed by Marcel Varnel and produced at London's Strand Theatre – enjoyed a similarly long run. Opening on December 23, 1942, and closing on March 2, 1946, it totalled 1,337 performances. Of the 12 plays written by Kesselring, ''Arsenic and Old Lace'' was by far the most successful.
