Jon Sen
Jon Sen (born 9 October 1978) is a British television and film director, writer and producer. After working as the executive producer of the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' from 2019 to 2022, Sen began working as the executive producer of the BBC medical drama series ''Casualty'' in 2022. Career In 2000, Sen was awarded his first BBC drama commission to write and direct ''The Love Doctor''. His second low budget television film, a short called ''Reignited'' was made for Channel 4's '' Coming Up'' strand and met with critical success. In 2003, Catherine Wearing employed Sen to direct Channel 4's £2 million flagship drama '' Second Generation'' starring Parminder Nagra. Despite being a ratings flop, the drama was critically acclaimed. Nagra won an EMMA for her lead performance and the programme was named in the Observer's top ten television of 2003. Janine Butcher (also Evans, Malloy and Carter) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'', introduced in 1989. The character is played by Rebecca Michael, Alexia Demetriou and Charlie Brooks respectively. Brooks initially departed on 7 May 2004. She returned for a three episode guest stint in April 2008 before returning permanently on 18 December of that year. Brooks later took a break from September 2012 until April 2013, then departed again on 20 March 2014. The BBC Audio Drama Awards is an awards ceremony created by BBC Radio to recognise excellence in the radio industry, in particular in audio dramas. The inaugural awards were presented in 2012 and the ceremony hosted at the BBC Radio Theatre, Broadcasting House where it has remained ever since. The awards were first announced with an invitation for entries on 24 October 2011, and the shortlisted nominees revealed on 10 January 2012. The inaugural ceremony took place on 29 January 2012 and proved hugely successful.
