Jon Fält
Jon Fält (born 28 August 1979 in Gävle, Sweden) is a Swedish drummer in modern jazz. Biography Fält was raised in Sandviken and had first music lessons with Stefan Bergkvist at the Kulturskolan. From 1990 he played in the ''Sandvik Small Band'' at the school with which he first recorded in 1994. He attended the Jazzgymnasium in Gävle and the Kungliga Musikhögskolan in Stockholm. In the following years he worked with Alberto Pinton, Bobo Stenson (to be heard on his ECM albums ''Cantando'', 2007 and ''Indicum'', 2011), with Lina Nyberg (''Tellus'', 2006) and Jon Vanderlander, in the ensemble ''The Stoner'' led by the saxophonist Nils Berg, further in the bands ''The Deciders, Splint!, Yun Kan 5'' (with Fredrik Ljungkvist) and in Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. Mattias Ståhl
Mattias Ståhl (born 11 December 1971 in Oskarshamn, Oskarshamn, Sweden) is a Swedish jazz Vibraphone, vibraphonist (also marimba, glockenspiel, clarinet, harmonica, synthesizer, percussion) and composer. Biography Ståhl plays with Eirik Hegdal's Team Hegdal, Cecilia Persson, and the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra among others. He was involved in 33 jazz recording sessions between 1999 and 2012, including with Lennart Åberg, Bengt Berger, Fredrik Nordström, Lina Nyberg, Alberto Pinton and Per Tjernberg among others. In 2001 he presented the trio album Ståhl's Blå, with Joakim Milder, Filip Augustson and Thomas Strønen. Since the beginning of the 2010s he has played in the band Angles, with Martin Kitchens, Magnus Broo, Mats Äleklint, Johan Berthling, Kjell Nordeson. Lotte Anker
Lotte Anker (born 1958) is a Danish jazz saxophonist, and composer. With pianist Marilyn Crispell, she serves as one of the co-leaders of the Copenhagen Art Ensemble. Musical career Anker was born in Copenhagen and studied music at Copenhagen University from 1980 to 1984. In 1988, she formed a quartet with piano player Mette Petersen, (the Lotte Anker / Mette Petersen Quartet). In 1992, they added trumpeter Nils Petter Molvær. In 1995, she became a member of the free improvising trio Anker, Friis, Poulsen with Hasse Poulsen on guitar and Peter Friis Nielsen on bass. Since 1996, Anker and Ture Larsen have been co-leaders of the 12-piece orchestra Copenhagen Art Ensemble. Sofia Jernberg
Sofia Jernberg (born 5 July 1983, in Ethiopia) is a Swedish experimental singer, improviser, and composer. She is widely known for expanding the "instrumental" possibilities of the voice and is active both as soloist and in various bands. Her musical partners include internationally acclaimed performers such as Peter Evans, Eve Risser, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Kim Myhr and Heiner Goebbels. Between 2002 and 2004, Jernberg studied jazz at Fridhems Folk High School. Later she studied for Per Mårtensson and Henrik Strindberg at The Gotland School of Music Composition. Raymond Strid
Raymond Strid (born 1956 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a Swedish drummer in the genre of free jazz and the new European improvised music. Biography When Strid picked up drumming, he was inspired by musicians like Han Bennink, Paul Lytton, and Tony Oxley. He started his musical career relatively late. His debut concert was in September 1977, after first playing with a variety of local bands in Stockholm. In 1988 he founded the 'GUSH' trio together with saxophonist Mats Gustafsson and the pianist Sten Sandell.
