Cheadle, Staffordshire
Cheadle is a market town and civil parish in the Staffordshire Moorlands District of Staffordshire, England, with a population of 12,000 at the 2021 census. It is located between Uttoxeter, Leek, Ashbourne and Stoke-on-Trent. Dating back to Anglo-Saxon times, it lies within the historic Staffordshire Hundred of Totmonslow; for administrative purposes, it is now part of the Staffordshire Moorlands area. Etymology Cheadle is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086, in the forms ''Celle'' and ''Cedla''. Non-League football describes association football, football leagues played outside the top leagues of a country. Usually, it describes leagues which are not fully professional. The term is primarily used for football in England, where it is specifically used to describe all football played at levels below those of the Premier League (20 clubs) and the three divisions of the English Football League (EFL; 72 clubs). Currently, a non-League team would be any club playing in the National League (English football), National League or below that level. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales.
