Jon Comer
Jon Comer (January 19, 1976 – December 5, 2019) was the first professional skateboarder with a prosthetic limb (due to an amputated lower leg) and was regarded as the godfather of adaptive skateboarding. He was featured in the award-winning documentary ''Never Been Done''. Jon earned the respect of skateboarding legends like Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, and Mike Vallely who admired Jon's success and determination. The publication also ran an accompanying website and video production company. The Berrics
The Berrics is a private indoor skatepark owned by the professional skateboarders Steve Berra and Eric Koston. It is also a website providing content filmed in the skatepark, as well other skateboard-related media. The facility's name is a portmanteau of the owners' names (the "Ber" of Berra's surname and the "ric" of Koston's first name). Mike Vallely
Mike Vallely ( ; born 1970), also known as Mike V, is an American professional skateboarder and musician. From 2013 to 2025, he was the lead vocalist of the hardcore punk band Black Flag. Vallely was the second-longest-serving member of the band, although he did not appear on any albums. Early life Born in 1970, Vallely grew up in Edison, New Jersey. He has an older brother, Joe, and a younger sister, Amy. Growing up, Vallely played little league baseball, but, in 1984, aged 14, Vallely discovered skateboarding and punk music, borrowed a skateboard from a friend and proceeded to dedicate his life to skateboarding. Steve Caballero
Steve Caballero (born November 8, 1964) is an American professional skateboarder. He is known for the difficult tricks and air variations he invented for vertical skating and for setting the long-standing record for the highest air achieved on a halfpipe. In 1999, '' Thrasher Magazine'' named Caballero the "Skater of the Century". Career Caballero was born with scoliosis, a condition which causes a curvature of the spine, although he has stated that the condition "really hasn't affected me too much." He began skating in 1976 at the age of 12 and started his career at age 14. His first sponsor was Campbell Skate Park. In 1979, Caballero entered a national skate contest in Escondido. After finishing fifth place, he was approached by Stacy Peralta who offered him sponsorship with Powell Peralta.
