Joint Interrogation Cell is a secret interrogation cell in Bangladesh. It is located inside Kochukhet of Dhaka Cantonment. Joint Interrogation Cell and Taskforce for Interrogation Cell are two main cells that torture detainees in Bangladesh. There is another Joint Interrogation Cell at the headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Department where Lutfozzaman Babar was interrogated. History The facilities for the Joint Interrogation Cell used during the Bangladesh Liberation War by Pakistan Army to torture suspects and closed after the Independence of Bangladesh. Dhaka Cantonment () is a cantonment located in the northern part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The headquarters of the Bangladesh Army and Air Force are situated within the cantonment. Hasinur Rahman
Hasinur Rahman Bir Protik is a former Bangladesh Army and Rapid Action Battalion officer. He had the rank of Lieutenant Colonel when he was sacked from the army. He was a victim of forced disappearance in Bangladesh (from August 2018 to February 2020) and had been missing for 16 months. Career Hasinur was commissioned in the 10th long course of Bangladesh Military Academy in June 1984. On 3 January 2004 Hasinur, then a commander in Bangladesh Rifles, seized 40 anti-personnel and anti-tank mines. They also seized rocket launchers and chargers after a gunfight with tribal insurgents. Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim (born 2 February 1949; known as Sheikh Selim) is a Bangladeshi politician who was a 9-term Member of Parliament representing the Gopalganj-2 constituency during 1980–2024. Obaidul Quader (born 1 February 1952) is a Bangladeshi politician. He has served as the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Awami League since October 2016. Quader was previously the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges from 2011–2024 and represented the Noakhali-5 Jatiya Sangsad member from 2009–2024. Tarique Rahman
Tarique Rahman (born 20 November 1965), better known natively as Tarique Zia, is a Bangladeshi politician and businessman who has been the acting chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) since February 2018. He is the eldest son of former Bangladeshi President of Bangladesh, president Ziaur Rahman and the first female prime minister of Bangladesh, Khaleda Zia. He is also the publisher of Daily Dinkal. Human rights in Bangladesh are enshrined as fundamental rights in Part III of the Constitution of Bangladesh. The National Security Intelligence, commonly known as the NSI, is the principal civilian intelligence agency of Bangladesh.
