Joel Sjöholm
Joel Nils Patricio Sjöholm (born 21 February 1985) is a Swedish professional golfer, who has played on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. He has won twice on the Challenge Tour; in 2017 Challenge Tour, 2017 and 2022 Challenge Tour, 2022. Early life He was born in Chile and was adopted by a Swedish family when three months old. He started playing the game at young age at Skaftö Golf Club in Fiskebäckskil, on the small Swedish west coast island Skaftö with 1,400 inhabitants. Peter Hedblom
Peter Mikael Hedblom (born 20 January 1970) is a retired Swedish professional golfer, who won three times on the European Tour and lost in playoffs four times on the same tour. He finished tied 7th at the 1996 Open Championship. In 2003, he and his sister became the first brother and sister siblings who had won on the European Tour and Ladies European Tour respectively. Early years Hedblom was born in Gävle, Sweden. OWGR
The Official World Golf Ranking is a system for rating the performance level of professional golfers. It was started in 1986. The rankings are based on a player's position in individual tournaments (i.e. not pairs or team events) over a "rolling" two-year period. New rankings are calculated each week. During 2018, nearly 400 tournaments on 20 tours were covered by the ranking system. All players competing in these tournaments are included in the rankings. In 2025, 24 tours factored into the world rankings. As well as being of general interest, the rankings have an additional importance, in that they are used as one of the qualifying criteria for entry into a number of leading tournaments. The Sicilian Open was a European Tour men's professional golf tournament. It was played for the first time in 2011. The event was held in Sicily at the Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa. In 2012 the event was held at Verdura Golf & Spa Resort on a links-style course running up to the coastline. Alfred Dunhill Links Championship
The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is a golf tournament on the European Tour. It is played in September or October, on three different links courses, centered on the "home of golf", St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. The tournament is a pro-am, with the format based on the long-running United States PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am held annually since 1937 (except during the Second World War), where each team consists of one amateur and one professional. The three course rotation consists of The Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie Golf Links and Kingsbarns Golf Links. The 54-hole cut is made of the top 60 professionals and the leading 20 pro-am teams, regardless of the professional member of the team making the individual cut. The 2007 European Amateur Team Championship took place 3–7 July at Western Gailes Golf Club in Irvine, North Ayrshire, Irvine, Scotland, United Kingdom.
