Joel Buchsbaum
Joel Buchsbaum (1954 - December 29, 2002) was an American sportswriter who worked for Pro Football Weekly from 1979 until his death. Career Buchsbaum was noted especially for his NFL Draft analysis and evaluation of college football players. He was a guest commentator for KMOX in St. Louis and KTRH in Houston. He is considered one of the first "draft experts" in sports media. NFL Draft
The National Football League Draft, also called the NFL Draft or (officially) the Player Selection Meeting, is an annual event which serves as the league's most common source of player recruitment. Each team is given a position in the drafting order in reverse order relative to its record in the previous year, which means that the last place team is positioned first and the Super Bowl champion is last. From this position, the team can either select a player or trade its position to another team for other draft positions, a player or players, or any combination thereof. KMOX
KMOX (1120 AM) is a commercial radio station in St. Louis, Missouri. Owned by Audacy, Inc., it is a 50,000 watt Class A clear-channel station with a non-directional signal. The KMOX studios and offices are on Olive Street at Tucker Boulevard in the Park Pacific Building in St. Louis. KMOX refers to itself as "NewsRadio 1120 - The Voice of St. Louis." It is considered the first U.S. station to program all talk shows around the clock. KMOX's transmitter is located off Route 162 in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. With a good radio, KMOX's nighttime signal can be heard in most of the Central United States and into Mexico and Canada. KTRH () is a commercial radio station licensed to Houston, Texas and owned by iHeartMedia that airs a talk radio format. Programming is also heard on co-owned KODA's HD 2 channel at , and the station uses the iHeartRadio platform to stream its webcast. Its studios are located along the West Loop Freeway (I-610) in the city's Uptown district. The transmitter site is located at a four-tower facility in unincorporated Liberty County, off Cox Road in Dayton. KTRH broadcasts with around the clock, the highest power permitted by the Federal Communications Commission for commercial AM stations.
