Jody Cundy
Jody Alan Cundy (born 14 October 1978) is a British cyclist and former swimmer from Wisbech, England. He has represented Great Britain at eight Summer Paralympics winning nine Gold, one Silver and three Bronze medals across swimming and cycling events. He has also competed in multiple World Championships, winning 24 world titles (21 in Cycling and 3 in Swimming), the most recent coming at the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro in March 2024. Personal history Cundy was born in Wisbech to Alan, a fitter-welder, and Ann, an accountancy clerk. He grew up in Norfolk along with his younger brother Ashley. Cundy was born with a deformed foot, which was amputated when he was three years old. Cundy attended the University of Hertfordshire, based in Hatfield, where he was also a member of the town's swimming club. Our Greatest Team Parade
The Our Greatest Team Parade was a victory parade to celebrate the achievements of British athletes who competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Paralympics. It also recognised the contributions of all the other participants and workers involved in the games. It was held on Monday 10 September 2012 at 1:30pm. The parade took place the day after the closing ceremony of the Paralympics to ensure that the maximum number of athletes were able to participate and to avoid clashing with other commitments. The 2019 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships were the World Championships for track cycling with athletes with a physical disability. The Championships took place in Apeldoorn, Netherlands from 14 to 17 March 2019. 2018 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships
The 2018 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships were the World Championships for track cycling with athletes with a physical disability. The Championships took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 22–25 March 2018. 31 events were held on the track. The championships Brazil hosted the UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships for the first time, at the Rio Olympic Velodrome located at the Barra Olympic and Paralympic Park. The Championship was also the first one to mark points for the ranking that will select the Tokyo Paralympic Games athletes. The velodrome's 250m Siberian pine track is banked to an angle of 12 degrees at its shallowest point and 42 degrees at its steepest point. The capacity is approximately 5,600.
