Joaquim Escardó
Joaquim Escardó Salazar (2 January 1882 – 22 December 1957) was a Spanish Sports journalism, Sports journalist and Association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper for Club Español (now known as RCD Espanyol). As a player, he won the 1903–04 Catalan football championship, Catalan Championship, but he found greater professional success through his journalist work, being a match press reporter for newspapers such as :es:Los Deportes, Los Deportes, for whom he published what is now regarded as the oldest photo of a football team in Spain. Biography Born in Barcelona, Escardó was one of the founding members of ''Club Español de Fútbol'' in 1900. He then become one of the first footballers of the newly formed Club Español, playing mainly in the second and third teams. In 1901 he was a founder, manager, and player of Irish FC. Royal Barcelona Maritime Club
The Royal Barcelona Maritime Club ( Catalan: ''Reial Club Marítim de Barcelona'' (RCMB), Spanish: ''Real Club Marítimo de Barcelona'') is a member-only yacht club based in Barcelona. It was established in 1881 and is one of the oldest yacht clubs in Spain. This club is located at one end of Barcelona harbor, close to where la Rambla meets the sea, by the "Maremagnum" shopping mall and aquarium complex. The RCMB is a well-equipped yacht club, with its own delimited area situated very close to its rival Royal Barcelona Yacht Club (Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona), which is considered more elitist. The RCMB's area is an "administrative concession" from the Barcelona Port Authority. It houses the club's premises, where there is a cafeteria cum restaurant specialized in fish dishes. Alberto Serra
Alberto Serra Guixà (10 October 1870 – 28 July 1912) was a Spanish football pioneer and sports journalist, who is best known for writing and signing the first chronicle of a FC Barcelona match, which appeared on page 7 of La Vanguardia on 9 December 1899. He also wrote and was director of the Los Deportes magazine, but it was in La Vanguardia where Serra exerted his greatest informative display, for almost twenty years, and where he managed to create an outstanding weekly section under the heading "Sports Sheet" in which he became a fervent disseminator of the regulations of football. He is considered "the dean" of sports reporters in Barcelona.
