Joan Peñarroya
Joan Peñarroya Rodríguez (born 20 April 1969) is a Spanish professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for FC Barcelona of the Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. Playing career A tall guard, Peñarroya started his playing career in 1987 with Manresa of the Liga ACB. He spent 11 seasons of his 16-year career with the club, winning the Spanish Cup in 1996. He also played for Canarias, León and Ourense. Coaching career Peñarroya started his coaching career as assistant coach with CB Olesa of the Liga EBA. In 2010, he signed with BC Andorra of the LEB Plata. Peñarroya led the team to a promotion to the LEB Oro and later to the Liga ACB. He also coached in the EuroCup with Andorra. In the 2018–19 season, Peñarroya coached Bàsquet Manresa, leading the team to the ACB playoffs for the first time since 1998. In July 2019, Peñarroya signed as new head coach of San Pablo Burgos. 2021 FIBA Intercontinental Cup
The 2021 FIBA Intercontinental Cup was the 30th edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. The tournament was played in one game to be held on 6 February 2021. The game was played in the Estadio Obras Sanitarias in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the fourth time the competition was hosted in this venue. The game was played on by Spanish side Hereda San Pablo Burgos, winners of the 2020–21 Basketball Champions League, and Argentine side Quimsa, winners of the 2021 Basketball Champions League Americas. Both teams made their debut in the Intercontinental Cup. The game was played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. LEB Oro
The Primera FEB, formerly known as LEB or LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the Spanish Basketball Federation, FEB. The FEB leagues are divided into three categories (the other two are the Segunda FEB and the Tercera FEB). The league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the Primera FEB are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB. The three lowest-finishing teams in the Primera FEB are relegated to Segunda FEB. Liga EBA
The Tercera FEB, formerly known as Liga EBA (''Liga Española de Baloncesto Aficionado''), is a Spanish basketball championship that is the fourth tier level in the Spanish basketball league system, after the Liga ACB, Primera FEB and Segunda FEB. It is administered by the Spanish Basketball Federation, FEB. It was previously the Spanish second tier level competition from 1994 to 1996, the third tier level from 1996 to 2000, and the fifth tier level, from 2007 to 2009.
