Joakim Grönhagen
Joakim Grönhagen (born 25 October 1972) is a Swedish professional golfer who played on the Challenge Tour and European Tour. Career Grönhagen played 121 tournaments on the Challenge Tour 1992–2001, including one win. In 1992, he was runner-up at the Siab Open. In 1994, he narrowly missed out on two victories, losing the Swedish Matchplay Championship final to Per Nyman 1 up, and losing a playoff at the Volvo Finnish Open to Mikael Piltz. Grönhagen played on the 1995 European Tour with best finish T25 at Volvo Scandinavian Masters, ending up 138th in the season rankings. Västerås Open
The Västerås Open was a golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour that featured on the Challenge Tour 1990–1994. It was played in Västerås, Sweden. The Kentab Open was first played as an amateur tournament at Västerås GC in 1978, and it was added to the Swedish Golf Tour in 1986. Starting in 1998 the tournament began rotating between Västerås GC, Frösåker G&CC, Ängsö GC and Fullerö GC. In 2007 Västerås Municipality became the main sponsor and it was rebranded the ''Västerås Mälarstaden Open''. A similarly named event, the Kentab/RBG Open, sponsored name of the 1996 Swedish PGA Championship, was played at Frösåker G&CC and featured on the 1996 Challenge Tour. Fredrik Berglund (golfer)
Jan Fredrik Berglund (born 21 March 1979) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a forward. He started off his career with IF Elfsborg in 1995 and became the Allsvenskan top scorer during the 2000 season. He then went on to represent Roda JC, Esbjerg fB, FC Copenhagen, and Stabæk before retiring at IF Elfsborg in early 2011. A full international between 2001 and 2006, he won 12 caps and scored two goals for the Sweden national team. Club career Early years Berglund started his professional career with IF Elfsborg and was a key player together with Anders Svensson and Tobias Linderoth, the three of them were nicknamed "The Headband Gang". In the 2000 season he was top goalscorer of the Allsvenskan and he attracted interest from foreign based clubs and eventually signed for Dutch side Roda JC in a €750.000 deal. The 2001 Nordic Golf League was the third season of the Nordic Golf League, a third-tier tour recognised by the European Tour. Mikael Piltz
Mikael Piltz (born 10 May 1967) is a Finnish professional golfer who played on the Challenge Tour and briefly on the European Tour. Career Piltz turned professional in 1989 and played on the Swedish Golf Tour. He then joined the Challenge Tour, where he was runner-up at the 1992 Volvo Finnish Open before winning the 1994 Volvo Finnish Open, following a playoff with Joakim Grönhagen. The win earned him an invitation to the 1995 Sarazen World Open at Chateau Elan Legends course in Braselton, Georgia. He made 11 starts and 5 cuts on the 1994 European Tour, finding himself back on the Challenge Tour, where he was runner-up at the 2001 Russian Open behind Jamie Donaldson. Kalle Väinölä
Kalle Väinölä (born 15 December 1971) is a retired Finland, Finnish professional golfer who played on the Challenge Tour and European Tour 1995–2004. Career Väinölä's family moved to a new house adjacent to a golf course when he was two years old, and he took up the game when he was four. An all-round sportsman, he gave up golf when he was 13 to concentrate on tennis but he returned to the game at 17 and went on to play for his native Finland, winning the Finnish Amateur, the Greek Open Amateur and the European Club Cup. In 1992, he won the EGA Trophy representing continental Europe along with eight players including Thomas Bjørn and Niclas Fasth, against a Great Britain & Ireland team that included Pádraig Harrington.
