Jiří Sýkora (decathlete)
Jiří Sýkora (born 20 January 1995 in Třebíč) is a Czech athlete competing in the combined events. He represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro where he finished last after scoring no points in the pole vault and 1500 metres. In addition he won the gold medal at the 2014 World Junior Championships. He is also the former world record holder in the junior decathlon. Třebíč
Třebíč (; ) is a town in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 35,000 inhabitants. The beginnings of the town's history are connected with the establishment of a Benedictines, Benedictine monastery, where the castle is located today. 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held between 3 and 5 March 2017 at the Kombank Arena in Belgrade, Serbia. This was the second time this event was held in the city after the 1969 European Indoor Games, 1969 edition then known as the European Indoor Games, and the first time in more than 30 years that the competition was held in Eastern Europe. The three-day competition featured 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events and took place over two morning and three afternoon sessions. The decision of Belgrade as the host-city was announced on 4 May 2014 in Frankfurt am Main, beating bids from Istanbul and Polish city Toruń. The host nation's leading athlete was Ivana Španović, who returned to defend her European indoor title in the long jump. Athletics At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's Decathlon
The men's decathlon competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event was held at the Estádio Olímpico João Havelange, Olympic Stadium between 17 and 18 August.
