''The Sinful People of Prague'' ( cs, Hříšní lidé města pražského) was a Czechoslovak television programme which was first broadcast in 1968. The programme was written and directed by Jiří Sequens. The thirteen-part series is an adaptation of Jiří Marek's short stories from the collections ''Panoptikum starých kriminálních příběhů'' (''Panopticon of Old Criminal Stories'') and ''Panoptikum hříšných lidí'' (''Panopticon of Sinful People''). The story takes place around 1928. The series was loosely followed by four feature films and one television film (all from 1971 to 1972) and the television series ''Panoptikum města pražského'' (1988). Lucie Bílá (born April 7, 1966 as ''Hana Zaňáková'') is a Czech pop singer. According to her label, EMI Czech Republic, the singer has sold over one million albums. She won the Czech musical award, Český slavík 13 times, the highest number. Biography Lucie Bílá (born Hana Zaňáková) was born in the town of Otvovice in Czechoslovakia to Czech mother and Slovak father, where she was raised and where she attended a secondary school. Before she became involved in the field of music, she trained to be a seamstress. Bila's first experiences with show business were as a member of the rock bands Rock-Automat and Arakain. Jiří Lábus (born 26 January 1950, in Prague) is a Czech actor. His brother is the Czech architect Ladislav Lábus. In 1973, he graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and joined the theatre Studio Ypsilon, where he remains employed to this day. He also appeared several times as guest actor in other theatres ( National Theatre, Theatre Viola, Theatre Ungelt). He performed several roles in both television and film.
