Jimmie Ölvestad
Jimmie Glenn Ölvestad (born February 16, 1980) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey right wing. He was drafted in the third round, 88th overall, by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Ölvestad had played three seasons in Sweden for Djurgårdens IF before coming to the NHL in the 2001–02 season to play for the Lightning. After three seasons in North America, during which he appeared in 111 NHL games with the Lightning, Ölvestad returned to Djurgårdens IF during the 2004–05 NHL lockout. While the NHL resumed play in the 2005–06 season, Ölvestad decided to remain in Sweden. He made his 500th appearance for Djurgårdens IF against Modo Hockey 3 March 2012. On June 27, 2013, Ölvestad officially announced his retirement. Winger (ice Hockey)
Winger, in the game of ice hockey, is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play is along the outer playing areas. They typically flank the centre forward. Originally the name was given to forward players who went up and down the sides of the rink. Wingers generally have the least defensive responsibilities out of any position on the ice, however they are still tasked with defensive duties such as forechecking duties or covering the point in the defensive zone. Nowadays, there are different types of wingers in the game — out-and-out goal scorers, checkers who disrupt the opponents, and forwards who work along the boards and in the corners. Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL)
The Hamilton Bulldogs were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Hamilton, Ontario, at FirstOntario Centre (formerly known as Copps Coliseum), nicknamed 'The Dog Pound'. They were the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens as two separate franchises over 19 seasons of continuous participation in the AHL. The 2003–04 AHL season was the 68th season of the American Hockey League. The league introduced the Willie Marshall Award in honor of the career points leader in the AHL, and awards it to the annual top goal scorer. The AHL switched from a six division alignment to four divisions within two conferences. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Springfield Falcons were a ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) and played in Springfield, Massachusetts, at the MassMutual Center. In 2016, the Falcons' franchise was purchased by the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Arizona Coyotes and relocated to Tucson, Arizona, before the start of the 2016–17 AHL season.
