Jim Jarmusch
James Robert Jarmusch ( ; born January 22, 1953) is an American film director, screenwriter and musician. He has been a major proponent of independent film, independent cinema since the 1980s, directing films such as ''Stranger Than Paradise'' (1984), ''Down by Law (film), Down by Law'' (1986), ''Mystery Train (film), Mystery Train'' (1989), ''Night on Earth'' (1991), ''Dead Man'' (1995), ''Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai'' (1999), ''Coffee and Cigarettes'' (2003), ''Broken Flowers'' (2005), ''Only Lovers Left Alive'' (2013), and ''Paterson (film), Paterson'' (2016). ''Stranger Than Paradise'' was added to the National Film Registry in December 2002. B-movie
A B movie, or B film, is a type of cheap, low-budget commercial motion picture. Originally, during the Classical Hollywood cinema, Golden Age of Hollywood, this term specifically referred to films meant to be shown as the lesser-known second half of a double feature, somewhat similar to A-side and B-side, B-sides in recorded music. However, the production of such films as "second features" in the United States largely declined by the end of the 1950s. This shift was due to the rise of commercial television, which prompted film studio B movie production departments to transition into television film production divisions. Jozef Van Wissem
Jozef van Wissem (born 22 November 1962) is a Dutch minimalist composer and lute player In 2013 Van Wissem won the Cannes Soundtrack Award for the score of '' Only Lovers Left Alive'' at the Cannes Film Festival. Career Jozef van Wissem was born in Maastricht. An incessantly touring musician, Van Wissem studied lute in New York with Patrick O'Brien in 1990s. Jozef van Wissem's solo albums, ''It Is All That Is Made'' (2009) and ''Ex Patris'' (2010), were released on Important Records. He released ''The Joy That Never Ends'', an album with Jim Jarmusch on the label in 2011. He wrote a score for the video game '' The Sims Medieval''. The Del-Byzanteens
The Del-Byzanteens was a New York-based no wave band active in the early 1980s. The band comprised Phil Kline (vocals, guitar); Jim Jarmusch (vocals, keyboards); Philippe Hagen (bass); Josh Braun (percussion, drums); and Dan Braun (drums, percussion). Lucy Sante wrote lyrics to some of their songs, while Jamie Nares sometimes contributed as a percussionist, and occasionally John Lurie performed with them on stage. They released a 12" EP: ''Girl's Imagination'' (1981), an LP: '' Lies to Live By'' (1982), and a 7" single: ''Draft Riot'' (1982). In 1985-86 they recorded two more songs ("The Last Time" and "Fascination"), which were never finished or officially released.
