Jill Nicole Filipovic (born August 3, 1983) is an American author and attorney. Education Originally from the Seattle area, Filipovic attended Shorewood High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and politics and a minor in gender and sexuality studies from New York University. She earned a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law in 2008. Career Filipovic is a columnist for ''The Guardian''. Since 2005, she has been a blogger at ''Feministe'', one of the largest feminist blogs. In April 2014, ''Cosmopolitan'' hired her to write for its blog. She has written opinions and reviews for ''The New York Times'', ''The Washington Post'', ''Time'', and CNN. She has written two books: ''The H-Spot: The Feminist Pursuit of Happiness'' (2017) and '' OK Boomer, Let's Talk: How My Generation Got Left Behind'' (2020). Netroots Nation
Netroots Nation is a political Convention (meeting), convention for American Progressivism in the United States, progressive political activists. Originally organized by readers and writers of Daily Kos, a Liberalism, liberal political blog, it was originally called YearlyKos and rebranded as Netroots Nation in 2007. The new name was chosen to reflect the participation of a broader audience of grassroots activists, campaign workers and volunteers, Thought leader, thought leaders, messaging technology innovators as well as local, state, and national elected officials. The convention offers three days of programming: panel discussions on emerging issues in politics and society; training sessions to support more effective activism; keynote addresses from speakers of national stature; an exhibit hall; networking and social events. Abortion In Honduras
Abortion in Honduras is completely prohibited under any circumstance, and has been constitutionally prohibited since 1982. The country's constitutional prohibition on abortion was further cemented by the country's Congress on January 22, 2021. In order to change this law, a three-quarters majority in the Congress will be required, or 96 out of 128 votes. The country's prohibition causes detrimental effects on the human rights of women and girls in Honduras, particularly survivors of rape. Like in its neighbors Nicaragua and El Salvador, abortion is prohibited even in cases of rape, even though United Nations experts have found that denial of abortion can constitute torture in certain cases. This is worsened by the fact that Honduras has one of the worst rates of sexual violence. This has been cited as a reason for migration from the country. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III (born December 24, 1946) is an American politician and attorney who served as the 84th United States attorney general from 2017 to 2018. The terms Google bombing and Google washing refer to the practice of causing a website to rank highly in web search engine results for irrelevant, unrelated or off-topic search terms. In contrast, search engine optimization (SEO) is the practice of improving the search engine listings of web pages for ''relevant'' search terms. Dr. Kerryn Lee Goldsworthy (born 14 May 1953) is an Australian freelance writer and former academic. Life and career Goldsworthy has edited four anthologies of Australian writing.
