Chen Jianguo
Chen Jianguo (; born July 1945) is a Chinese politician, serving since 2013 as the Chair of the National People's Congress Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee. He is the former Communist Party Chief of Ningxia Autonomous Region and Chairman of the Ningxia People's Congress. He was born in Rongcheng, Weihai, Rongcheng, Shandong Province. He joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army in July 1962, and the Chinese Communist Party in April 1966. Jianguo "Jingle" Wu (邬建国) is a Dean's Distinguished Professor of Sustainability Science at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. He is also known internationally for his research in landscape ecology and urban ecology. His areas of expertise include landscape ecology, biodiversity, sustainability science, ecosystem functioning and urban ecology. He is the author of over 300 publications, 14 books and has translated 1 book from English to Chinese. He has been awarded multiple awards and honors, including being elected as a Fellow for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in 2007 and an Ecological Society of America fellow in 2019. Sun Jianguo (; born 1952) is a retired admiral of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). He served as Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff from 2009 to 2017. Biography Sun Jianguo was born in 1952 in Wuqiao, Hebei. He joined the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in 1968, and graduated from the PLA Navy Submarine Academy in 1978. From 1996 to 2000 he served as deputy commander of the Navy submarine base and President of the Submarine Academy.
