Jessica Ellis
Jessica Ellis (born 22 March 1987) is a British actress and presenter. Ellis is from Liverpool but also lived in London. After first appearing in a television film as a baby, Ellis went to theatre school and in 2011 she had guest roles in the BBC soap operas ''EastEnders'' and ''Doctors''. Ellis received praise for her acting in the 2012 plays ''Bedroom Farce'' and ''Happy Never After''. In 2013, Ellis was cast as Tegan Lomax in the soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' and she remained in the soap until her character was killed-off in 2018. Ellis was sad to leave the role but was glad the door was closed so that she could look forward with her career. In 2019, Ellis launched her own podcast and began presenting ''The Guide Liverpool'' website, and she returned to theatre in plays such as '' Rita, Sue & Bob Too!'' Hollyoaks
''Hollyoaks'' is a British soap opera which originally began airing on Channel 4 on 23 October 1995. It was created by Phil Redmond, who had previously conceived the soap opera ''Brookside (TV series), Brookside''. From 2005 to 2023, episodes have aired on sister channel E4 (TV channel), E4 a day prior to their broadcast on Channel 4. In 2023, ''Hollyoaks'' was removed from Channel 4's early evening schedule, but remains on E4 and Channel 4 (VoD service), Channel 4's on demand service with episodes now uploaded to YouTube. At its inception, the soap was targeted towards an adolescent and young adult audience but it has since broadened its appeal to all age groups. Pleasance Theatre
The Pleasance is a theatre, bar, sports and recreation complex in Edinburgh, Scotland, situated on a street of the same name. It is owned by the University of Edinburgh, and for nine months of the year it serves the Edinburgh University Students' Association as a societies centre, sports complex, student union bar and entertainment venue. Every August, it is converted into one of the main venues for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Pleasance Theatre Trust operate the venue during this time, and in this guise the complex is sometimes referred to as Pleasance Edinburgh to distinguish it from a sister venue, also called The Pleasance, that the trust opened in Islington in London in 1995. Theatre By The Lake
Theatre by the Lake is situated on the shores of Derwentwater in the Lake District in Keswick, Cumbria, England. It opened in 1999, replacing the mobile Century Theatre, and was made possible by an Arts Council Lottery Fund Grant. From May to November a resident company of up to 14 actors perform a Summer Season of six plays in repertory. The theatre also produces a Christmas show and two Spring shows (one in the Main House and one in the Studio). The theatre hosts festivals including the Words by the Water literature festival, the Jennings Brewery, Jennings Keswick Jazz Festival, Keswick Film Festival and events in the Keswick Mountain Festival.
