Jeron Teng
Jeron Alvin Uy Teng (born March 21, 1994) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). As a PBA player, he usually starts at the swingman position but occasionally plays as a power forward during the Philippine Cup. A renowned prodigy, he holds multiple high school records for the Xavier Golden Stallions. After his famous high school career, he played for the De La Salle Green Archers in the UAAP with equally great success. He won a couple UAAP championships as the team captain and has the rare distinction of simultaneously winning two UAAP finals MVP awards. The UST Growling Tigers, Tigresses, Tiger Cubs and Tigress Cubs are the Collegiate athletics, collegiate and high school men's and women's varsity teams of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. Jeric Teng
Jeric Allen Uy Teng (born March 18, 1991) is a Filipino basketball player who last played for the Quezon Huskers of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He was drafted 12th overall by Rain or Shine in the 2013 PBA draft. He played college ball for the UST Growling Tigers in the UAAP. College career Rookie season Teng joined the Tigers in 2009 where he won the Rookie of the Year award. In that season, he was joined by veterans Dylan Ababou and Khasim Mirza to form UST's ATM trio. The Tigers finished the season 6–8 and made it to the Final Four, but were defeated by the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the Final Four 64–81. Alvin Teng
Alvin L. Teng (born March 4, 1965) is a retired Filipino professional basketball player who spent 14 seasons in the PBA, mostly with the San Miguel Beermen. Collegiate career A native of Davao, he was a latebloomer in basketball, having only started in 1983 while playing for the Rizal Memorial College in his hometown. After a year with the RMC, Alvin enrolled at the Harvardian University in Davao, where he also played for the school team. He soon made it to a selection of Davaoeños which participated in the PABL Founder's Cup. Thus was his first taste of commercial ball-playing in the Big City. While playing for the All-Stars, Alvin was spotted by Arellano team manager and then PABL president Peter Cayco and was promptly recruited to the Flaming Arrows' bench. PBA Philippine Cup
The PBA Philippine Cup is one of three active conferences in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). In this conference, only Filipino players and players of Filipino descent can compete, meaning that imports are not allowed. Before the 2004–05 season, the tournament was known as the PBA All-Filipino Cup. It is considered the most prestigious of the three conferences in a PBA season. Filoil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup
The Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup (formerly known as the Homegrown Cup, the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup, and also known as the Filoil EcoOil ECJ Preseason Cup in 2024) is a pre-season inter-collegiate basketball tournament in the Philippines. It is contested by teams mainly from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), there have also been some invited teams such as the RP Youth under-18 team and teams from other associations. The 2013 Philippine Collegiate Championship was the sixth edition of the Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL), the postseason tournament to determine the national collegiate champions in basketball organized by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), the national basketball federation.
