Jerome High School (Jerome, Idaho)
Jerome High School is a four-year public high school located in Jerome, Idaho, the only traditional high school operated by the Jerome Joint School District #261. The school colors are black and orange and the mascot is a tiger. Athletics Jerome competes in athletics in IHSAA Class 5A in the Great Basin (West) Conference with Burley, Minico and Wood River, all located in the Magic Valley region of Idaho. Twin Falls and the new Canyon Ridge, both located in Twin Falls, joined the conference in August 2009. Jerome Tigers sports teams, particularly the boys' football team, are locally referred to as "J-Town." In the fall of 2008, the "J-Town" football team made it to the state finals for the first time in over 20 years, but lost to the Hillcrest Knights. Jerome School District
Jerome (; ; ; – 30 September 420), also known as Jerome of Stridon, was an early Christian priest, confessor, theologian, translator, and historian; he is commonly known as Saint Jerome. He is best known for his translation of the Bible into Latin (the translation that became known as the Vulgate) and his commentaries on the whole Bible. Jerome attempted to create a translation of the Old Testament based on a Hebrew version, rather than the Septuagint, as prior Latin Bible translations had done. His list of writings is extensive. Hillcrest High School (Ammon, Idaho)
Hillcrest High School is a four-year public high school in Ammon, Idaho, east of Idaho Falls. Opened in 1992, it was the second high school in the Bonneville School District. The school mascot is the Knight and the colors are red, black, and white. Hillcrest competed in IHSAA Class 5A for athletics until 2018, then competed in 4A until the IHSAA changed classifications for the 2024/2025 school year. They now compete at the Class 5A level. Canyon Ridge High School
Canyon Ridge High School is a public secondary school in Twin Falls, Idaho, operated by the Twin Falls School District. It is the second traditional high school in the district and opened in August 2009. The school colors are crimson and silver and the mascot is a Riverhawk. As Twin Falls High School became increasingly overcrowded, funding for a second high school was approved by Twin Falls voters in March 2006. The school name and mascot were selected by the Twin Falls School Board in November 2006, and construction began in July 2007. Twin Falls High School
Twin Falls High School is a public secondary school in Twin Falls, Idaho, one of two traditional high schools operated by the Twin Falls School District #411. School history Twin Falls High School was founded in 1907. Citizens passed a bond in 1909 to construct the high school building and a supplemental bond in 1911 to complete construction. Formal dedication of the original high school, located on Shoshone Street next to the Twin Falls County Courthouse, occurred in February 1912. Burley High School is a four-year secondary school in Burley, Idaho, the largest of four traditional high schools in the Cassia County School District #151. Its official title is Burley Senior High School.
