Jerar Encarnación
Jerar Luis Encarnación (born October 22, 1997) is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Miami Marlins. Early life Jerar Encarnación was born in Bayaguana, Dominican Republic, to parents Manuel and Carmela. His elder brother Anderson died in 2019. Professional career Miami Marlins Encarnación signed with the Miami Marlins as an international free agent on September 8, 2015. He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Marlins in 2016. Encarnación played 2017 with the Gulf Coast Marlins, 2018 with the Batavia Muckdogs and Greensboro Grasshoppers and 2019 with the Clinton LumberKings and Jupiter Hammerheads. After the season, he played in the Arizona Fall League. Encarnación was invited to spring training by the Marlins in 2020. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch Batted ball, fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the Baseball, bases. Clinton LumberKings
The Clinton LumberKings are a collegiate summer baseball team of the Prospect League. They are located in Clinton, Iowa, and play their home games at NelsonCorp Field. From 1956 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball's Midwest League. With Major League Baseball's reorganization of the minor leagues after the 2020 season, Clinton was not selected to continue in affiliated baseball. The LumberKings play in the Prospect League's Western Conference – Northwest Division along with the Burlington Bees, Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp, and Quincy Doggy Paddlers. Sacramento River Cats
The Sacramento River Cats are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and are the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Prior to 2015, the River Cats were the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics for 15 seasons. They are based in West Sacramento, California, and play their home games at Sutter Health Park, which opened in 2000 and was known as Raley Field through 2019. Sacramento was previously represented in the Pacific Coast League by the Sacramento Solons, Solons, a charter member of the league which was founded in 1903. Three different versions of the Solons played in California's capital city in 1903, 1905, from 1909 to 1914, from 1918 to 1960, and from 1974 to 1976. The Guerreros de Oaxaca (English: Oaxaca Warriors) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, Mexico. Their home field is Estadio Eduardo Vasconcelos. History In October 1995, a group of businessmen, led by Alfredo Harp Helú, learned that the Charros de Jalisco were unable to continue participating in the Mexican League. These businessmen saw the opportunity to move the team from Guadalajara to the city of Oaxaca, and the project was officially presented at a meeting of directors of the league. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. They are located in Jacksonville, Florida, and are named for shrimp caught in the area. The team plays their home games at VyStar Ballpark, which opened in 2003. They previously played at Sam W.
