Jerantut
Jerantut is a town in Jerantut District, Pahang, Malaysia. It is the largest district in the State of Pahang. It covers an area of 2,900 square miles (755,771.93 Hectares). Bordered by the States of Kelantan and Terengganu in the North, Temerloh and Maran districts in the South, Kuala Lipis and Raub districts in the West and Kuantan district and Terengganu state in the East. It has 10 mukims consisting of 295 villages administered under 58 JKKK. Jerantut District Council was gazetted on 18 February 1982. Jerantut District Council (), formerly known as Jerantut Town Board () is the local authority of Jerantut town. Tourism Jerantut is the gateway to Taman Negara, the first national park in Malaysia. There is a natural park nearby that can be visited by visitors, namely Taman Rimba Kenong. The Kota Gelanggi Cave is located about 25 kilometers east of Jerantut. Jerantut District
The Jerantut District (Pahang Malay: ''Jerantet'') is a district in north-eastern Pahang, Malaysia. Jerantut is home to the National Park. Being the largest district in Pahang, it bounds the northern states of Kelantan and Terengganu, in the south, Temerloh District and Maran District, in the west, Lipis District and Raub District and in the east, Kuantan District. Tembeling River, the main river in this district is one way to the National Park and the surrounding villages in Ulu Tembeling, as well as national highway 1508 from Jerantut town. The confluence of Tembeling and Jelai rivers form the Pahang River where it flows right through central Pahang before emptying into the South China Sea near the royal town Pekan. KTM Intercity
KTM Intercity () are diesel-hauled intercity train services in Peninsular Malaysia, operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB). Services operate along the East Coast Line between Tumpat and Gemas and on towards JB Sentral on the West Coast Line. Taman Negara
Taman Negara is a national park in Peninsular Malaysia. It was established in 1938 and 1939 as the King George V National Park after Theodore Hubback lobbied the sultans of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan to set aside a piece of land that covers the three states for the creation of a protected area. After independence, it was renamed Taman Negara, which means "national park" in Malay. Taman Negara has a total area of 4,343 km2 and it is one of the world's oldest rainforests, estimated to be more than 130 million years old. Kuala Tahan
Kuala Tahan is a Malaysian village located at the confluence of the Tahan River, Tahan and Tembiling Rivers, in Jerantut District, Pahang. Etymology The word ''Kuala'' means "confluence" in Malay (refer Kuala Lumpur), and the Tahan River is a tributary of the Tembeling river. Tourism Resorts at Kuala Tahan receive visitors to Taman Negara National Park. Other facilities include floating restaurants and campsites. East Coast Line (Malaysia)
The East Coast railway line (ECRL) is a single-track metre gauge railway line in Malaysia that runs between the Gemas railway station in Negeri Sembilan and the Tumpat railway station in Kelantan. Gemas is the rail junction between the West Coast line and East Coast railway line. Like the West Coast Line (Malaysia), West Coast railway line, it is called the East Coast railway line (Malaysia) because it serves two of Peninsular Malaysia's East Coast states, namely Pahang and Kelantan. In fact, it does not run along the coast at all and only meets the South China Sea when it terminates in Tumpat railway station.
