Jelena Mihailović ( sr-Cyrl, Јелена Михаиловић; born 6 October 1987), also known as Jela Mihailovic, is a Serbian cellist based in Belgrade and Los Angeles who performs classical and contemporary music under the artistic name Jela Cello or JelaCello. Early life Mihailović was born in Valjevo, Serbia. Career During her solo career, Jela performed original pieces written for her and adapted to her own musical expression. One of these was the World Premiere of a piece called “Black Swan” written by Aleksandar Simic, which Jela performed on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Belgrade International Cello Festin July 2013. In 2011, Jela recorded the album ''Clash'', which was released by PGP-RTS. The album contains eleven compositions from different genres and centuries, including covers of works by Bach, Ravel, Brahms, Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles. Jela Krečič Žižek (; born February 26, 1979) is a Slovenian writer and journalist. Personal life and education Jela Krečič born on 26 February 1979. After graduating from grammar school, she enrolled in the study of cultural studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana. She graduated in 2002 at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana; in 2009, under the mentorship of Mladen Dolar, she earned a PhD in philosophy from the Faculty of Arts. Jela Spiridonović-Savić (11 January 1890 - September 1974) was a Serbian poet. Biography Jelena "Jela" Spiridonović-Savić was born in Šabac, Kingdom of Serbia, 11 January 1890. She was the wife of a prominent Consul general of Yugoslavia in New York City, Vladislav Savić.
