The Little Rock School District is a school district in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. It is one of four public school districts in Pulaski County and encompasses of land nearly coterminous with the state's capital and largest city. In addition to most of Little Rock it serves Cammack Village. The district however does not include the Pulaski County section of Alexander, as that is an exclave of the Pulaski County Special School District. From its establishment in 1869 until 1886 it was known as the School District of Little Rock, and then from that year to 1963 it was known as the Special School District of Little Rock. Jefferson Elementary School (Creston, Iowa)
The Jefferson Elementary School is a historic building located in Creston, Iowa, United States. There was an older Jefferson School building located on this property that was built in the 1880s. It had become overcrowded and lacked modern facilities by the 1920s. This building replaced it in 1937. It was built by Hogeson Construction for $74,629 using Public Works Administration funds. with It was designed in the Moderne style by the Des Moines architectural firm of Dougher, Rich & Woodburn. The two-story brick structure was built on a concrete foundation, and it is capped with a flat roof. The multi-colored light brown brick is laid in a common bond, and it is accentuated with limestone beltcourses and copings. Cammack Village, Arkansas
Cammack Village is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 778 as of the 2020 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Conway metropolitan area. History Cammack Village is located on land originally owned by Wiley Dan Cammack. During the 1930s, Cammack allowed the land to be used for a Works Progress Administration roads project. Sometime before 1943, Cammack attempted to have the land annexed by the city of Little Rock, which lay to the east, but the city demurred, stating the land was "too far west." Shortly after that, during World War II, Cammack turned the land over to the United States Government to alleviate military housing shortages at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Little Rock's primary Army training base at the time. The houses were laid out in rows and built with per unit, according to U.S. Army specifications for family housing.
