Jeff Hurd (politician)
Jeffrey Stephen Hurd (born August 15, 1979) is an American politician and lawyer from Colorado. A Republican, he is the member for in the United States House of Representatives. Early life and career Hurd is the oldest of three sons. He was raised in Grand Junction, Colorado. His father was a psychologist who counseled low-income families. His mother died of cancer while he was in high school. Hurd graduated from Grand Junction High School and earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame. After college, he worked for the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce and then attended the University of Denver Law School, where he earned a Juris Doctor. Hurd clerked for Timothy Tymkovich, the chief judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and then joined an international law firm based in New York City. Adam Bennett Frisch (born October 1, 1967) is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party. He served on the Aspen City Council from 2011 to 2019 and chaired Pitkin County's financial review committee from 2005 to 2011.
