Jednota, Pennsylvania
Jednota (also known as Jednota Flats) is an unincorporated community in Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States, near the Harrisburg International Airport. The community is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area. Overview It was the site of the Jednota Home and Shrine, a fraternity by the First Catholic Slovak Union (FCSU), operating from 1911 to 1976. A monument marks where the site once stood. The area is roughly bounded to the north by the mainline Pennsylvania Turnpike Interstate 76, Pennsylvania Route 230 to the south, White House Lane to the west and the Airport Connector to the east. Rosedale Avenue is the principal thoroughfare in the community. Harrisburg International Airport is a public airport in Middletown, Pennsylvania, nine miles (15 km) southeast of Harrisburg. Airport Connector (Harrisburg)
The Airport Connector is a freeway in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, area in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It begins at Harrisburg International Airport and runs north to Pennsylvania Route 283 (PA 283). There is one intermediate interchange with PA 230. The highway is one of only two freeways in Pennsylvania with no posted route number (the other being the President Biden Expressway). In the Location Referencing System, it is designated State Route 3032 by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. In 2021, the freeway gained the name Airport Road. Pennsylvania Route 230
Pennsylvania Route 230 (PA 230) is a long state route in central Pennsylvania. Its western terminus is at an intersection with U.S. Route 22 (US 22) in Harrisburg. Its eastern terminus is at an interchange with PA 283 near Salunga. The route passes northwest-southeast through Dauphin and Lancaster counties and serves as a surface road parallel to the PA 283 freeway that connects the cities of Harrisburg and Lancaster.
