Jean López
Jean López (born August 31, 1973 in Texas, U.S.) is an American Taekwondo athlete and coach. Biography López is a 1991 graduate of Kempner High School and was a four-time member of the U.S. National Taekwondo Team. In 1995, López won a silver medal at the 1995 Taekwondo World Championships. López coached the U.S. Olympic Taekwondo team in the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Olympic Games. Taekwondo
Taekwondo (; ; ) is a Korean martial art and combat sport involving primarily kicking techniques and punching. Kempner High School
I.H. Kempner High School, better known simply as Kempner High School, is a public high school in Sugar Land, Texas and a part of the Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD). A small portion of the City of Houston is in the school's boundary. It also includes the former census-designated place of Town West (Townewest). The school was named after Isaac Herbert Kempner, founder of Imperial Sugar, who contributed much to the development of early Sugar Land. Taekwondo World Championships
The World Taekwondo Championship is held every two years by World Taekwondo. In addition to the kyorugi (full contact fighting) Championships, there are also Para World Championships as well as Poomsae and Para Poomsae Championships held every two years. Due to the impact of the Global COVID-19 pandemic, Wuxi gave up hosting the World Taekwondo Championship. The United States Center for SafeSport is an American 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization set up to reduce sexual abuse of minors and athletes in Olympic sports in the United States.
