Jay Alonso De La Torre García-Gregory (born September 19, 1944) is a Senior status, senior United States federal judge, United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Education and career Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, García-Gregory received an Bachelor of Arts, Artium Baccalaureus degree from Assumption College (Worcester), Assumption College in 1966, a Master of Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, University of Madrid in 1969, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1972. He was a law clerk for Judge Hiram Rafael Cancio and Judge José Victor Toledo of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico from 1973 to 1974. He was in private practice in Puerto Rico from 1974 to 2000.
