Axel Javier Fernández Berón (born 3 September 1994) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a forward for Rocha in the Uruguayan Primera División Amateur. Career Plaza Colonia Fernández began his professional career with then-Uruguayan Segunda División club Plaza Colonia, graduating from the club's youth system in 2014. He made his league debut for the club on 19 April 2014, coming on as a 70th-minute substitute for Facundo Waller in a 1–1 draw with Rocha. Carmelo, Uruguay
Carmelo is a city located in the department of Colonia of western Uruguay, noted for its wineries. Geography Location Route 21 passes through the city, joining it with Nueva Palmira to the northwest and Colonia del Sacramento to the southeast. History During the beginning of the Conquest of the 16th century, the Spanish founded the Fuerte de San Lázaro (April 7, 1527 - October 1530). In 1611, Hernando Arias de Saavedra, governor of Asuncion, landed cattle near the mouth of the Arroyo de las Vacas. A populated centre was established here which had reached the status of "Pueblo" (village) before the Independence of Uruguay. The present city was founded by José Gervasio Artigas on 12 February 1816. Its status was elevated to "Ciudad" (city) on 17 August 1920 by the Act of Ley Nº 7.257. 2019 Uruguayan Primera División Season
The 2019 Liga Profesional de Primera División season, also known as the Campeonato Uruguayo 2019, was the 116th season of Uruguay's top-flight football league, and the 89th in which it is professional. The season was named as "100 Años de Racing Club de Montevideo" and was originally scheduled to begin on 9 February but its start was pushed back for one week to 16 February. The season ended on 15 December with Nacional winning their forty-seventh title by beating Peñarol in the semifinal. Peñarol were the defending champions, having won back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018. Teams El Tanque Sisley, who did not compete in the 2018 season, as well as the two bottom-placed teams in the relegation table of the 2018 season, Torque and Atenas, were relegated to the Segunda División for the 2019 season. Nacional were the defending champions. Peñarol were the champions after winning the Torneo Clausura and defeating Apertura winners Defensor Sporting at the championship playoff via penalty shoot-out. Format The season was played under the Apertura-Clausura format, with the Apertura being played from February to May and the Clausura from August to November, and the inclusion of an additional tournament between the Apertura and Clausura named ''Torneo Intermedio'' and played from May to July.
