Janko Benša
Janko Benša (born 28 June 1977) is a Serbians, Serbian retired long-distance running, distance runner. He was the men's winner of the 2000 Austin Marathon. He competed internationally for Serbia and Montenegro, Yugoslavia during the 1990s. Running career Competing for Yugoslavia Benša made his international debut in the 1995 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – Junior men's race, junior men's race at the 1995 IAAF World Cross Country Championships, where he placed 77th. In the following year's 1996 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – Junior men's race, IAAF World Cross Country junior men's race, he finished in 35th place. Track And Field
Track and field (or athletics in British English) is a sport that includes Competition#Sports, athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. The name used in North America is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events. Track and field is categorized under the umbrella sport of athletics, which also includes road running, cross country running and racewalking. Marcus O'Sullivan
Marcus O'Sullivan (born in Cork, Ireland on 22 December 1961) is an Irish retired middle-distance runner. He competed for Ireland at four Summer Olympics. After Steve Scott and John Walker, he is the third all-time by total of sub-4 minute miles run over the course of his career, at 101. Running career Although he wasn't planning to go to any of Ireland's universities, O'Sullivan's running encouraged him to go to Villanova University at 19. While competing on a collegiate level, he worked towards a degree in accounting and later attained an MBA and a CPA. The three World Indoor 1500 metre Championships won by O'Sullivan were in 1987 (Indianapolis), 1989 (Budapest), and 1993 (Toronto). In his victories in 1987 and 1989, he set championship records. New York Road Runners
New York Road Runners (NYRR) is a non-profit running organization based in New York City whose mission is to help and inspire people through running. It was founded in 1958 by Ted Corbitt with 47 members and has since grown to a membership of more than 60,000. As of 2012, it was considered to be the premier running organization in the United States. Pacemaker (running)
A pacemaker or pacesetter, sometimes informally called a rabbit, is a runner who leads a middle distance track event, middle- or long-distance running event for the first section to ensure a high speed and to avoid excessive tactical racing. The Yugoslavia Cross Country Championships ( / ) was an annual cross country running competition that served as Yugoslavia's national championship for the sport.
