Jan Močnik
Jan Močnik (born 27 March 1987) is a Slovenian professional basketball player. Professional career Močnik grew up in Nova Gorica, where he played for local team CPG Nova Gorica, Nova Gorica in the second national league of Slovenia. He left CPG Nova Gorica, Nova Gorica as a loaned player in Kraški zidar in the 2003 season and stayed there for 3 years. Then he returned to Nova Gorica. Union Olimpija In the 2007–08 Slovenian Basketball League, 2007/08 season he signed with the Slovenian Basketball League, Adriatic League and Euroleague club KK Union Olimpija, Union Olimpija for a 3 year contract. During the 2007/08 season he won the Slovenian League championship and Slovenian Basketball Cup with them. In Euroleague, he averaged 1.1 and 0.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 11 games. In the Adriatic League, he played 9 minutes per game over 20 games, and he averaged 2.4 points and 0.2 rebounds. He also played in Slovenian League All-Star 2007. Guard (basketball)
Basketball is a sport with five players on the court for each team at a time. Each player is assigned to different positions defined by the strategic role they play. Guard, forward and center are the three main position categories. The standard team features two guards, two forwards, and a center. The guards are typically called the "back court" and the forwards and centers the "front court".
