Jan Jönsson (equestrian)
Jan Jönsson (born 27 April 1944) is a Swedish equestrian. He was born in Motala. He won a bronze medal in individual eventing at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. He also competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. His daughter-in-law is the Finnish rider Piia Pantsu Piia Pantsu (born March 29, 1971 in Varkaus, Finland) is a Finnish Equestrianism, equestrian rider. She competes in three-day eventing and in show jumping competitions. Motala
Motala () is a locality and the seat of Motala Municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden with 29,823 inhabitants (41,956 in the entire municipality) in 2010. It is the third largest city of Östergötland, following Linköping and Norrköping. Motala is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Vättern and is regarded as the main centre of both the Göta Canal and the surrounding lake region. History Motala Church dates from the 13th century.
