Jan Jiraský
Jan Jiraský (born 1973 Vysoké Mýto) is a Czech pianist and pedagogue. He studied the piano playing at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno with Alena Vlasáková. He fulfilled his studies with obtaining doctor diploma for his comprehensive study on the Leoš Janáček Piano Works. Along with publishing of the book he recorded that repertoire on CD using both modern and authentic Janáček's own Ehrbar piano (at the Janáček Museum). He was awarded by several prizes for that act, including Janáček Premium Award. He received numerous prizes at the piano competitions and as a performer he made himself famous by playing whole cycles of piano music, including complete Bach's ''Well-Tempered Clavier ''The Well-Tempered Clavier'', BWV 846–893, consists of two sets of preludes and fugues in all 24 major and minor keys for keyboard by Johann Sebastian Bach. Vysoké Mýto
Vysoké Mýto (; , also ''Hohenmauth'') is a town in Ústí nad Orlicí District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 13,000 inhabitants. Its town square is the largest example of its type in the country. Leoš Janáček
Leoš Janáček (, 3 July 1854 – 12 August 1928) was a Czech composer, Music theory, music theorist, Folkloristics, folklorist, publicist, and teacher. He was inspired by Moravian folk music, Moravian and other Slavs, Slavic music, including Eastern European folk music, to create an original, modern musical style. Born in Hukvaldy, Janáček demonstrated musical talent at an early age and was educated in Brno, Prague, Leipzig, and Vienna. He then returned to live in Brno, where he married his pupil Zdenka Schulzová and devoted himself mainly to folkloristic research. ''The Well-Tempered Clavier'', BWV 846–893, consists of two sets of preludes and fugues in all 24 major and minor keys for keyboard by Johann Sebastian Bach. In the composer's time ''clavier'' referred to a variety of keyboard instruments, namely the harpsichord, the clavichord and the organ (which operates using air instead of strings), but not excluding the regal and the then newly-invented fortepiano. The modern German spelling for the collection is ' (WTK; ).
