Jalan Ampang–Hulu Langat
Jalan Ampang–Hulu Langat or Jalan Tasik Tambahan (Selangor state route B62) is a major road in Selangor, Malaysia. The road connects Taman Permai near Ampang Jaya, Ampang in the west to Pekan Batu Empat Belas (Bt-14) Hulu Langat in the east. Its main features including a panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur from the top of Bukit Belacan hill. Ampang Jaya
Ampang Jaya, more commonly known as just Ampang, is a town, a mukim and a parliamentary constituency straddling parts of the Hulu Langat District and Gombak District, in eastern Selangor, Malaysia. It is located just outside the eastern border of Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory. It is administered by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ), which is the formal name of the township as well. History Kuala Lumpur was founded in 1857 at the confluence of the Sungei Lumpur (now Gombak River) and the Klang River, which now houses the Kuala Lumpur Jamek Mosque. Before the arrival of the Chinese for tin mining, Kuala Lumpur was a small hamlet with only several shops and houses. Raja Abdullah, who is also the representative of the Sultan in Klang, and Raja Juma'at of Lukut sent 87 Chinese miners from Lukut in 1857 to open tin mines in Ampang, thus beginning the development of Kuala Lumpur. Sungai Besi
Sungai Besi (formerly known as ''Sungei Besi'') (English: Steel River) is a town and suburb within the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. The federal constituency of Sungai Besi existed from 1974 to 1995. Sungai Besi was a historical mining town with many heavy industries such as steelworks, waste steel plants and other steel industries. Sungei Besi Tin Mine site was the largest and deepest open cast alluvial tin mine in the world and in Malaysia. The town has since developed from a large area of village settlements. Background and progress The town is still in its original settings. The village structures are from the early days of the town. Most of the buildings are built from wood and the pathways are narrow. Kajang
Kajang is a city in Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia, located southeast of Kuala Lumpur. Kajang, along with much of Hulu Langat District, is governed by the Kajang Municipal Council. Kajang town is located on the eastern banks of the Langat River. It is surrounded by Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Cheras, Semenyih, Bangi, Malaysia, Bangi, Putrajaya and Serdang, Selangor, Serdang. Sungai Gabai
The Gabai River (; Jawi: سوڠاي ڬباي), a minor river in the Langat River basin, flows from the Mount Besar Hantu in the state of Negeri Sembilan into the dipterocarp forest reserve of the Hulu Langat district in the adjacent state of Selangor. Gabai Falls In Hulu Langat, the river descends in a set of waterfalls known as the Gabai Falls (), a popular attraction for the locals, but relatively unknown with tourists. Semenyih
Semenyih is a town and a mukim in Hulu Langat District in southeastern Selangor, Malaysia along the Kajang–Seremban road. It is southeast of downtown Kuala Lumpur and southeast of Kajang. Etymology The meaning of the name of the town is uncertain and it does not appear in any dictionary. It was derived from the locals and is related to its past. According to an oral story, it is based from a word in the Negeri Sembilan dialect, meaning "hidden" – the standard Malay word for "hidden" is ''sembunyi''. Geography The surrounding area is hilly, the highest peak nearby is Bukit Arang, high. This makes the area home to numerous scenic waterfalls.
