Jakob Silfverberg
Jakob Erik Silfverberg (born 13 October 1990) is a Swedish professional ice hockey winger and an alternate captain for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career On 27 June 2009, Silfverberg was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the second round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, 39th overall. On 30 May 2011, he signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Ottawa, though he elected to return to Sweden and continue to play for Brynäs IF for the 2011–12 season rather than to make the move to North America. Silfverberg was named the winner of the Guldhjälmen award as the most valuable player (MVP), as voted by the players in the Elitserien, for the 2011–12 regular season, as well as the Guldpucken as player of the year. Ottawa Senators
The Ottawa Senators (french: Sénateurs d'Ottawa), officially the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and colloquially known as the Sens, are a professional ice hockey team based in Ottawa. Andreas Lars Dackell (born December 29, 1972) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player. He played for several seasons with Brynäs IF in the Swedish league Elitserien (SEL) and was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the sixth round of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. In ice hockey, the captain is the player designated by a team as the only person authorized to speak with the game officials regarding rule interpretations when the captain is on the ice. At most levels of play each team must designate one captain and a number of alternate captains (usually two or three) who speak to the officials when the captain is on the bench. Captains wear a "C" on their sweaters, while alternate captains wear an "A". Stefan Liv Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) playoffs' most valuable player (MVP), as decided by SICO (Sweden's Ice hockey players Central Organisation).
