Jake Bugg
Jake Bugg (born Jake Edwin Charles Kennedy on 28 February 1994) is an English singer-songwriter. His self-titled debut album, ''Jake Bugg (album), Jake Bugg'', some of which was co-written with songwriter Iain Archer, was released in October 2012 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. His second album, ''Shangri La (Jake Bugg album), Shangri La'', was released in November 2013 and his third, largely self-produced album ''On My One'', in June 2016. His fourth album ''Hearts That Strain'', a largely acoustic effort, produced by Dan Auerbach, was released in September 2017. After a gap of four years, in August 2021, Bugg released the more pop-influenced fifth album ''Saturday Night, Sunday Morning (Jake Bugg album), Saturday Night, Sunday Morning''. Vincent (Don McLean Song)
"Vincent" is a song by Don McLean, written as a tribute to Vincent van Gogh. Its commonly known opening lyric, "Starry, Starry Night", is a reference to Van Gogh's 1889 painting ''The Starry Night''. McLean wrote the lyrics in 1970 after reading a book about the life of Van Gogh. It was released on McLean's 1971 '' American Pie'' album; the following year, the song topped the UK Singles Chart for two weeks, and peaked at No. 12 in the United States, where it also hit No. 2 on the Easy Listening chart. ''Billboard'' ranked it as the No. 94 song for 1972. The song makes use mainly of the guitar, but also includes the accordion, marimba, and violin. Clifton is a suburb and historic manor in the city of Nottingham, in Nottinghamshire, England. As of the 2021 census, it had a population of 22,936. ''On My One'' is the third studio album by English indie rock singer-songwriter Jake Bugg. The album was released on 17 June 2016. Title The title "On My One" derives from a Nottingham dictum meaning "On My Own". Bugg said "In a lot of ways, it sums up this record because it mainly has been me on my own. I saw this as the logical next step in my development as a songwriter. It was a challenge but something I felt I had to do." Recording and release In a 2014 interview with Mr Wavvy, Bugg announced that he had begun work on a new studio album. On whether or not it would be released in 2014, Bugg stated "That's the beauty of making records, you just never know when it's gonna be ready.
