Jaime Vera
Jaime Andrés Vera Rodríguez (born 25 March 1963) is a Chilean football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is currently in charge of Deportes Puerto Montt. Club career Vera began his professional career in Chile with Colo-Colo, before spending five seasons with OFI in the Greek Super League. He also had a spell with Atlético Morelia in the Primera Division de Mexico. He is the second Chilean to play for OFI Crete after Alejandro Hisis and before Miguel Vargas and Felipe Gallegos. International career Vera made several appearances for the senior Chile national football team, including appearing at the 1987, 1989 and 1991 Copa América. The 1991 Copa América association football, football tournament was hosted by Chile, from 6 to 21 July. It was organized by CONMEBOL and all ten member nations participated. Until the 2021 edition, this was the last time that the tournament consisted of only CONMEBOL member nations. In later tournaments, at least two nations from outside CONMEBOL have been invited to bring the total number of participants to twelve. Argentina won the Copa América for the record-tying 13th time, their first since 1959. The 1989 Copa América football tournament was hosted by Brazil, from 1 to 16 July. All ten CONMEBOL member nations participated. Brazil won their fourth Copa América, and first since 1949, by beating Uruguay 1–0 in the final match at the Estádio do Maracanã. This achievement ended a 19-year streak without official titles for the Brazilians. The last one had been in the 1970 World Cup. The final match between Brazil and Uruguay on Maracanã Stadium also marks exactly 39 years, on another 16 July since the FIFA World Cup 1950 Final. The 1987 Copa América was the 33rd edition of the Copa América, CONMEBOL's national team competition. It was the first Copa América under the new rotational hosting system. Luis Felipe Gallegos Leiva (born 3 December 1991) is a Chilean professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for A-League club Auckland FC. Club career In 2009, Gallegos was promoted to first-adult team and debuted during an unofficial friendly match against Argentinos Juniors. The incoming season, he officially debuted against O'Higgins in a 3–3 away draw. The following match he assisted to Diego Rivarola in the second goal of the 2–0 away win over Cobreloa. His first competitive goal came on 15 August 2010 against Everton de Viña del Mar in a 5–1 victory. In mid-2012 Gallegos left the club and joined on loan to German second-tier side Union Berlin. Miguel Alejandro Vargas Soto (born 15 May 1969) is a Chilean former footballer who played as a midfielder for clubs in Chile and Greece. Club career A product of Colo-Colo youth system, Vargas took part of the first team thanks to the coach Arturo Salah and made five appearances in 1988 in the league, as well as in the Copa Libertadores. He also was with them in the 1995 season. In both the 1987 and 1989 seasons, he played on loan at Rangers de Talca.
