''Jai Jai Garavi Gujarat'' (alternately titled Gujarat Theme Song) is a Gujarati song composed by A. R. Rahman. Prasoon Joshi has written the Hindi lyrics of the song. The title line is taken from a song ''Jai Jai Garavi Gujarat'' penned by Gujarati poet Narmad. It is performed by Keerthi Sagathia and various other artists. It was composed as part of the 50th year of formation of Gujarat state. Background Rahman was commissioned by the Gujarat government to set tune for the famous lines by the noted Gujarati poet Narmad, which were long used in many Gujarat government functions, as part of celebrations regarding the 50th year of formation of Gujarat State. Panchathan Record Inn and AM Studios is composer/music director A. R. Rahman's studio on his street at Kodambakkam, Chennai in Tamil Nadu. History The Inn was established in 1989, attached to Rahman's backyard, and developed into one of the most developed studios in Asia. Located very close to his home, it houses equipment like the Euphonix#The System 5 All-Digital Mixing Console, Euphonix System 5 Audio Mixing system. Sachin–Jigar are an Indian music composer duo consisting of Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya. They are both known for their compositions in both Hindi and Gujarati language films. Personal life Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya are both originally from Gujarat, and are both settled in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
