Alagoas
Alagoas (, ) is one of the 27 federative units of Brazil and is situated in the eastern part of the Northeast Region. It borders: Pernambuco (N and NW); Sergipe (S); Bahia (SW); and the Atlantic Ocean (E). Its capital is the city of Maceió. The Una River is a river of Pernambuco state in northeastern Brazil. The Una originates on the Borborema Plateau, flows east, and empties into the Atlantic Ocean near Barreiros. Água Preta (''Black Water'') is a Brazilian municipality (city) in the state of Pernambuco. It covers , and has a population of 37,082 with a population density of 62.05 inhabitants per square kilometer. Água Preta was founded as a district of the municipality of Rio Formoso in 10 de novembro 1809. It became an independent municipality on July 3, 1895.
