Jacques Neirynck
Jacques Neirynck (born 17 August 1931), Belgian-born and naturalized Swiss, is an emeritus professor at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), writer and politician. He is a member of the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland. The National Council (german: Nationalrat; french: Conseil national; it, Consiglio nazionale; rm, Cussegl naziunal) is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Switzerland, the upper house being the Council of States. With 200 seats, the National Council is the larger of the two houses. Adult citizens elect the council's members, who are called National Councillors, for four year terms.
