Estonia
Estonia, officially the Republic of Estonia, is a country in Northern Europe. Jaak Juske (born on the 12 December 1976) is an Estonian journalist, historian, author, politician, and member of the Social Democratic Party of Estonia. Born in Tartu, Juske is also the chairman of the eight-member Social Democratic Party wing in the City Council of Tallinn and the Vice Chairman of the party's Tallinn district. Jaak Salumets
Jaak Salumets (born 30 January 1949 in Paide) is a retired Estonian professional basketball player and coach who played mostly at the forward position. Salumets is also a former Estonian Reform Party politician who was a member of the Riigikogu (Estonian parliament) from 2007 to 2011. Early life and career Jaak Salumets was born in Paide and started his basketball career in his hometown. Soon he was discovered by basketball coaches in TPI (present day TTÜ) and made his way through to the Soviet youth team and Tallinn Kalev. In 1968 he won the European Junior Championships with the national team, scoring 33 points in the final against Yugoslavia and deserved the attention of senior team coaches. Two years later he was invited to the senior team by Alexander Gomelsky, but then 19-year-old Jaak refused, explaining the decision as "I was too young and wanted to concentrate on studies". Jaak Prints
Jaak Prints (born Jaak Teppart; 7 May 1981) is an Estonian actor, director, television presenter and former footballer. Prints was born in Tallinn to actors Sulev Teppart and Anu Lamp. His younger brother Tõnn Lamp is also an actor. In 2004, he graduated from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in acting speciality. 2004-2005 he was an actor at Vanemuine Theatre. 2005–2012, he was an actor at Theatre NO99. He has also been a footballer. His last club was JK Viimsi II. Since 2018, he has been a lecturer and the chief coordinator of the Department of Drama of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Jaak Panksepp (June 5, 1943 – April 18, 2017) was an Estonian-American neuroscientist and psychobiologist who coined the term "affective neuroscience", the name for the field that studies the neural mechanisms of emotion. He was the Baily Endowed Chair of Animal Well-Being Science for the Department of Veterinary and Comparative Anatomy, Pharmacology, and Physiology at Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, and Emeritus Professor of the Department of Psychology at Bowling Green State University. Jaak Madison (born 22 April 1991) is an Estonian politician and a member of the European Parliament, where he is a member of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, Committee on Foreign Affairs and the European Parliament Committee on International Trade, Committee on International Trade. Jaak Lipso
Jaak Lipso (18 April 1940 – 3 March 2023) was an Estonian professional basketball player who competed for the Soviet Union. He is the only Estonian basketball player who has won two medals at the Olympic Games. Lipso also won two medals at the FIBA World Championship and was a three-time Eurobasket champion with the Soviet Union national basketball team. He was a member of the Soviet Union national team from 1961 to 1970. After his active career Lipso became a basketball coach, and was elected to the Estonian Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010. Jacques-Nicolas (Jaak-Nicolaas) Lemmens (3 January 1823 – 30 January 1881), was an organist, music teacher, and composer for his instrument. Biography Born at Zoerle-Parwijs, near Westerlo, Belgium, Lemmens took lessons from François-Joseph Fétis, who wanted to make him into a musician capable of renewing the organ-player's art in Belgium. Fétis sent him to Adolf Friedrich Hesse in Germany to learn Johann Sebastian Bach's tradition.
