Jeanne d'Arc de Vichy Basket, most commonly known as JA Vichy or JAV, is a French professional basketball club that is based in Vichy. The team currently plays in the LNB Pro B, Pro B, the second highest professional division in France. LNB Pro B
The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the second-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promoted to the top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A. The two last placed teams are relegated to the third level, which is the NM1. History Names of the league Format All twenty competing teams play each other twice during the regular season. Ime Udoka
Ime Sunday Udoka ( ; born August 9, 1977) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born in the United States, he represented the Nigeria national team during his playing career. After retiring as a player, Udoka served as an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, and Brooklyn Nets before becoming the head coach of the Boston Celtics, whom he led to the 2022 NBA Finals. He played college basketball for Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) before playing professionally in Germany, France, Ukraine and Israel. Shuler was named EuroChallenge Final Four MVP in 2015. Vichy (, ; ) is a city in the central French department of Allier. Located on the Allier river, it is a major spa and resort town and during World War II was the capital of Vichy France. As of 2021, Vichy has a population of 25,789.
