JADC2
Joint All-Domain Command and Control or JADC2 is the concept that the Department of Defense has developed to connect sensors from all branches of the armed forces into a § unified network powered by artificial intelligence. Sydney J. Freedberg Jr(29 August 2019) The Fraying Edge: Limits Of The Army's Global Network/ref> These branches include the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and Navy, as well as Space Force. Each military branch has its initiative that contributes to JADC2; the Army has ''Project Convergence'', the Navy has ''Project Overmatch'', and the Air Force has the ''Advanced Battle Management System'', also known as ''ABMS''. The Space Force has the Space Development Agency's ''National Defense Space Architecture'' ( NDSA).(11 Jan 2023) To ensure JADC2, and to win in future conflicts, look to the transport layer in spaceGround Moving Target Identification (GMTI) and Air Moving Target Identification (AMTI) Experimentation The DoD has held at least two critical JADC2 ...

Joint Artificial Intelligence Center
The Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC) (pronounced "jake") was an American organization on exploring the usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) (particularly Edge computing), Network of Networks and AI-enhanced communication for use in actual combat. In February 2022, JAIC was integrated into the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). A subdivision of the United States Armed Forces, it was created in June 2018. The organization's stated objective was to "transform the US Department of Defense by accelerating the delivery and adoption of AI to achieve mission impact at scale. The goal is to use AI to solve large and complex problem sets that span multiple combat systems; then, ensure the combat Systems and Components have real-time access to ever-improving libraries of data sets and tools." History JAIC was originally proposed to Congress on June 27, 2018; that same month, it was established under the Defense Department's Chief Information Officer (C ...

Integrated Tactical Network
:''This material was split from Army Futures Command'' The US Army's Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) "is not a new or separate network but rather a concept"—PEO C3T.PEO C3(2018) Integrated Tactical Network"is not a new or separate network but rather a concept" Avoid overspecifying the requirements for Integrated Tactical Network Information Systems Initial Capabilities Document. Instead, meet operational needs, such as interoperability with other networks, and release ITN capabilities incrementally. *Up through 2028, every two years the Army will insert new capability sets for ITN (Capability sets '21, '23, '25, etc.). and take feedback from Soldier-led experiment & evaluation. However, the Army's commitment to a 'campaign of learning' showed more paths: **Firestorm was made possible by a mesh network—improvising an MEO, and then a GEO satellite link between JBLM to YPG. There are plans to have a Project Convergence 2021. The Army fielded a data fabric at Project Convergence ...

Space Development Agency
The Space Development Agency (SDA) began as a directorate of the United States Department of Defense's office of the under secretary of defense for research and engineering ( OUSD (R&E)) which supports space development in the interests of U.S. national security. The SDA was conceived by Mike Griffin and established in 2019 after his appointment to USD (R&E) early in the Trump Administration. A top priority is to implement the National Defense Space Architecture ( NDSA), using spiral models for its development method. While initial leadership sought more aggressive capabilities including space-based interceptors similar to the Strategic Defense Initiative, the Biden Administration has since refocused on sensing and arms control. The SDA transferred to the United States Space Force October 1, 2022. By design,USD(R&E) (20 Nov 2020) DOD INSTRUCTION 5000.88: ENGINEERING OF DEFENSE SYSTEMS/ref> the functions for acquisition and sustainment (A&S) are the responsibility of an ...
